HOW TO MEASURE RING SIZE

One of the most common questions we encounter is, "How do I find out my ring size?" And the reason is simple. When buying a custom ring, the least we can expect is that the purchase and acquisition process is as perfect as the jewel.

Let's explore a straightforward way to measure your ring size right at home, making your shopping experience a breeze!

How can I tell what size my ring is?

How can you determine your ring size? Ring sizes vary widely between individuals, typically ranging from 3 to 13. For women, common sizes are between 5 and 7, with size 6 being the most popular. Men's sizes usually fall between 8 and 10, with 9 being the most common. Each ring size corresponds to a specific millimeter measurement; for example, a size 3 ring measures 14.1mm in circumference, and each half-size increase adds approximately 0.4mm. This system allows you to accurately find your ring size based on the measurement of your finger.

How do I measure my ring size at home?

There are three straightforward methods to measure your ring size at home. Keep in mind that finger size can vary due to temperature and time of day, so for accurate results, it's best to measure more than once. Fortunately, we offer a downloadable Ring Sizer Guide that enables you to determine your ring size using another ring for comparison. This ensures you can easily find the right size from home.

Using a String or Paper Strip

To measure your ring size at home using a string or paper strip, start by cutting a piece around 10 centimeters long. Wrap it snugly around the base of your finger at the desired ring position, ensuring it fits comfortably—not too tight, not too loose. Mark the point where the end overlaps with a pen. Then, lay the string or paper flat against a ruler to measure the length in millimeters from one end to the marked point. This measurement represents the circumference of your finger. Use this information along with our Ring Size Chart to find your perfect ring size. Remember to measure later in the day when your finger is at its largest and avoid measuring when your fingers are cold. For added precision, measure both the knuckle and finger and choose a size in between to ensure the ring can easily slide over the knuckle. You can also create a makeshift ring with the strip and adjust it for a comfortable fit before measuring.
